What we build

MVP development, from idea or AI prototype to launch

AI tools have made prototypes cheap. Turning one into a product that handles real customers, real payments and real data is still a job for experienced engineers. We help founders launch a first version that works, then keep it growing.

Scoped to learn fast

We help you cut the first version down to what proves the idea, so you launch sooner and spend less.

Safe to launch

Authentication, authorisation, payments and data protection done properly, even in version one.

Keep the AI speed

We keep using AI tools to move quickly, with engineers reviewing every change.

Ready to grow

A codebase with tests and clear structure, so your next developer or investor is not put off.

The prototype is not the product

It has never been easier to build something that looks finished. With AI app builders and coding agents, a founder can produce a working prototype in a weekend. That is genuinely useful: you can test the idea with real people before spending serious money.

The trouble starts when the prototype becomes the product. We regularly see AI-built apps that:

  • let any logged-in user see other customers' data,
  • store API keys in the browser,
  • take payments without checking whether they succeeded,
  • have no tests, so every change risks breaking something, and
  • were built in a framework or stack nobody on the team can maintain.

None of that matters in a demo. All of it matters once you have customers.

Our approach

We treat your prototype as the best possible specification. It shows exactly what you want, how screens should flow and which features matter. From there, we either harden what you have or rebuild the core on Laravel, keeping everything that works.

Either way, the first release includes the things that are expensive to add later: proper user accounts and permissions, reliable payments, data protection, error tracking, backups and tests for the paths that make you money.

Built with AI, owned by engineers

We use AI coding tools throughout, so you keep much of the speed that got you this far. The difference is that a senior engineer designs the structure, reviews every change and is accountable for the result. Scope

What's included

  • A scoping workshop to agree the smallest version worth launching
  • A vibe code review if you already have an AI-built prototype
  • Architecture on Laravel that will not need a rewrite at the first growth spurt
  • User accounts, roles, payments and email notifications
  • Admin tools so you can support your first customers
  • Hosting, backups, error tracking and analytics
  • Tests for the critical paths and a simple deploy pipeline
  • Handover documentation, whether we carry on or not

Process

How it works

  1. Scope

We agree the problem, the users and the smallest set of features that proves the idea.

  2. Review or design

We review your prototype, or design the screens and data model if you are starting fresh.

  3. Build

Short cycles with a staging site you can show to users and investors every week.

  4. Launch

We launch, watch closely and fix what real users find in the first weeks.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

We built a prototype with Lovable, Bolt, Cursor or Claude Code. Can you turn it into a real product?

Yes. We start with a vibe code review so we both know what we are working with. Some prototypes can be hardened and extended. Others are best used as a detailed specification for a clean Laravel build. We will recommend the cheaper route for your situation.

How much does an MVP cost?

It depends on scope, which is why we start by cutting it down. Many first releases take 4 to 12 weeks of engineering at £20 to £25 per hour. We agree a fixed price for each milestone before starting.

Do you offer equity deals?

We work on paid engagements only, which keeps the relationship simple and means you keep full ownership of your company and your code.

What happens after launch?

Most founders keep us on to fix, improve and add features as they learn from customers. You can also take the code to an in-house team at any time, with full documentation.
