AI-first service

AI-driven Laravel development, led by senior engineers

AI coding agents can write a lot of code very quickly. The hard part is making sure it is the right code. We pair experienced Laravel engineers with the best AI tools, so you get the speed without the mess.

Guardrails before code

Architecture, coding standards, tests and review rules are set up first, so AI output has to fit the system rather than reshape it.

Every change reviewed

AI agents open pull requests. Senior engineers review, test and merge them. Nothing reaches production unread.

Tests as the contract

We write or generate tests from your requirements first, then let agents implement against them.

Faster, measurably

We report delivery speed and quality every sprint, so you can see what AI is actually adding.

What AI-driven development means at Larasoft

AI-driven development means AI coding agents write much of the code, while experienced engineers decide what gets built, how it fits together and whether it is good enough to ship. The agents bring speed. The engineers bring judgement, context and accountability.

This is different from vibe coding. In vibe coding, people accept whatever the AI produces because it seems to work. In AI-driven development, AI output is a draft that has to pass the same tests, checks and reviews as code written by a person.

Why it needs senior engineers

AI agents are good at producing plausible code quickly. Left alone, they also tend to:

  • solve the same problem in a different way each time, so the codebase drifts;
  • skip the unglamorous parts, such as authorisation, validation, transactions and error handling;
  • add packages nobody asked for;
  • write tests that confirm what the code does rather than what it should do.

Each of these is easy to catch when someone experienced is reading the pull request, and expensive to fix six months later. That is why every change we ship is reviewed by a senior Laravel engineer who understands your system.

How we set the guardrails

Before agents write any feature code, we put the structure in place that keeps them on track:

  1. Architecture and conventions. Where business logic lives, how data is accessed and which Laravel features we use, written down in an AI rulebook that agents read on every task.
  2. Project context. Laravel Boost and project documentation give agents accurate knowledge of your Laravel version, packages and database, which cuts down on invented methods and outdated patterns.
  3. Tests first. Acceptance criteria become tests, so an agent's work is measured against what you asked for.
  4. Automated checks. Static analysis, code style, dependency audits and the test suite run on every pull request.
  5. Human review. A senior engineer reviews, adjusts and merges. Agents never deploy to production.

What you can build this way

Anything you would build with Laravel: SaaS products, MVPs, customer portals, internal tools, admin panels and APIs. It works especially well for:

  • New features on existing Laravel apps, where the codebase gives agents clear patterns to follow.
  • Migrations and refactors, such as legacy PHP to Laravel or version upgrades, where much of the work is repetitive but needs care.
  • AI features, such as assistants, search and document processing, using the Laravel AI SDK.

Already have AI-written code?

If your team or a previous supplier has already built something with AI tools and you are not sure how solid it is, start with a vibe code review. It gives you a ranked list of problems and a clear view of whether to fix, refactor or rebuild.

Scope

What's included

  • Discovery and scoping, with acceptance criteria written as testable requirements
  • Architecture and a project-specific AI rulebook covering conventions, patterns and banned shortcuts
  • Laravel Boost and project context set up so AI agents understand your codebase
  • Feature delivery by AI coding agents, supervised by senior Laravel engineers
  • Human code review on every pull request, with automated static analysis and tests in CI
  • Security and performance checks before every release
  • Documentation kept up to date as part of each change
  • Optional coaching for your own developers on AI-assisted workflows

Process

How it works

  1. Discover

We turn your goals into a scoped backlog with clear acceptance criteria and a price or estimate for each milestone.

  2. Set the guardrails

Architecture, coding standards, CI, tests and the AI rulebook are in place before feature work starts.

  3. Build in short cycles

Agents draft the work, engineers review and refine it, and you see working software on staging every week.

  4. Harden and release

Security review, performance checks and a deployment plan before anything goes live.

  5. Hand over or keep going

You get the code, documentation and AI rulebook. Many clients keep us on for support and new features.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is AI-written code safe to put into production?

It can be, if it is treated like any other untrusted contribution. That means clear requirements, tests, automated checks and a senior engineer who reads and understands every change before it merges. The risk with AI code is not the AI, it is shipping code nobody has reviewed.

Is it cheaper than traditional development?

Usually, yes, because agents handle much of the repetitive work such as forms, CRUD screens, tests and migrations, while engineers focus on design and review. Savings vary by project, so we measure and report them rather than promising a fixed percentage.

Which AI tools do you use?

We use leading coding agents such as Claude Code and Cursor, together with Laravel Boost, which gives AI tools accurate knowledge of your Laravel version and packages. We choose tools per project and agree with you which ones may see your code.

Who owns the code and the prompts?

You do. All code, tests, documentation and the AI rulebook for your project are yours, and the repository lives in your GitHub or GitLab account from day one.

Can you help our in-house team work this way?

Yes. We can set up the guardrails, tooling and review process in your codebase and coach your developers through the first few sprints.
