About Larasoft

Why we exist

Larasoft was founded in 2020 by Alex Stevens, who has built with Laravel since 2012. The idea was simple: give businesses senior Laravel engineering at fair, published prices, with honest advice about what they actually need.

Since then we have built and supported SaaS platforms, marketplaces, review apps, credential platforms and internal systems for founders and established businesses. Some came to us with an idea. Others came with an application that needed rescuing.

Why AI-first

AI coding tools have changed how software is written, and we use them on almost every project. They let a small senior team deliver far more, which is how we keep our rates at £20 to £25 per hour.

They have also created a new problem. It has never been easier to produce code that works in a demo and fails in production. More and more of our work is helping businesses check, secure and maintain software written quickly with AI. That is why our headline services are vibe code reviews, security reviews and patching, infrastructure management and AI-driven development with proper guardrails.

What we believe

• A person is accountable for every change. However the code was written, a named engineer reviews it and owns it.
• You own everything. Code, repositories and accounts are in your name from the first day.
• Prices should be public. Our rates and fixed prices are on our pricing page.
• Honest advice beats a bigger invoice. If you do not need us, or need something cheaper, we will say so.
